Tuesday: First PTA Meeting of the School Year

We look forward to seeing everyone at 7 pm next Tuesday, September 3, for the first monthly meeting of the PTA for this school year. The agenda will include introductions to both TPES & PBES principals as well as information on our new reading curriculum. A Zoom link will be sent out the day of the meeting. NOTE: We are looking for Spanish and Amharic interpreters for the meeting (and future meetings). Please reach out to board@pbespta.groups.io if you are available.

PTA Volunteer Needs

We need your help! Please use this link to express interest in PTA volunteer opportunities this year. We greatly need your help to ensure that programs and activities our students love can continue this year A few high priority volunteer needs currently are:

1.) Hispanic Heritage Planning team

Hispanic Heritage Night will be held once again at PBES this year in the fall. If you are able to volunteer to help with planning this event in order to ensure that it happens this year, please reach out to Sara Lewis (serowe@gmail.com).

2.)  Staff Appreciation Planning team

We have one returning member for the staff appreciation committee (thank you, Alisa!), but are in strong need of at least one other person to help Alisa lead this team. The staff appreciation committee recruits volunteers and donations to brighten our PBES staff members' days. Please consider helping out and email Sara Lewis (serowe@gmail.com) if you would be willing to contribute your time to this committee.

3.) Room Parent Volunteers

Room parents serve as a crucial classroom liaison between the teachers, parents and PTA. If you are interested in serving as a  o-room parent for one of the following classes this year, please reach out to our room parent coordinator, Amie Kershner, at amielkershner@gmail.com. The following classes still need another room parent volunteer:
