Thursday: Take Your Child to Work Day

Thursday, April 25 is Take Your Child to Work Day! If your child is participating in this special day, this is an excused absence. Please send an email or note to your child's homeroom teacher. Also, include Ms. Baucum in the notification so the absence is marked excused. I wish all who are participating a great experience!

Sunday: Rainbow Club Meetup

The Rainbow Club, a group for LGBTQ+ families and kids sponsored by the TPES and PBES PTAs, is holding our spring meet-up this Sunday, April 28, from 12-2 pm, at the Loft Collective. We will have snacks, drinks, and a fun craft project: decorating farmer's market tote bags! The city kindly donated a bunch of totes, but feel free to bring your own. We will supply crafting supplies. We welcome everyone, including allies! Bring your kids, friends, and anyone else you think would enjoy the event. Excited to see familiar faces and hopefully, meet some new ones. Reach out to rainbowclubtkpk@gmail.com to rsvp/ask questions/join our email list.

Coming May 9: TPES/PBES Soccer Game

The details for the event are below, but what we need to make this game possible are…PLAYERS! Whether you are a seasoned player or have never kicked a soccer ball, we welcome you to sign up for a fun evening of exercise and friendly competition! The team captains and their emails are listed below, so please feel free to reach out to either Nick or Becca with any questions you have. If you don’t want to play, but still want to be involved, we are looking for volunteers to help organize a bake sale and to help with logistics on the day of (as well as a referee!). Please reach out to president@tpespta.net if you are interested in volunteering in one of these ways. And if you’re not playing or volunteering, we encourage you and your family to come out to watch the game…the kids will be so excited to see their teachers in action!

Needed: 3rd and 6th Grade Parents

If you are the parent of a current 4th or 6th grader, we need your help! Please volunteer to answer questions from families of rising 3rd and 6th graders at the upcoming PTA meeting (May 7). Sign up here!

Needed: Volunteers for Instrumental Concert Bake Sale

The 4th and 5th grade spring instrumental music concerts are on May 22 at 6:00 and 7:00pm and the PTA is looking for one additional volunteer to help coordinate a bake sale to be held before/after the concerts. This is a fairly simple task. The volunteers would create an online sign-up for volunteers to bring baked goods as well as sign up to staff the bake sale.
