This is a new, recurring portion of Panther Tracks and we will update this section weekly with relevant information as needed. This week:

- How can I ensure my child's personal information is not shared? Under FERPA, schools may disclose directory information without consent unless the family completed an Annual Notice for Directory Information and Student Privacy form at the start of the year. If you would like to update your family's preference, please contact the main office.
Needed: New PTA Board Members for 2025-26 School Year
As we soon hit the home stretch of this school year, the PTA needs to refresh its ranks for next year. The current board is term-limited out of our positions so we need new volunteers to take our places and lead the PTA into next year. We will be discussing the need for new board members at next month’s PTA meeting, as well as having a social event to inform anyone interested in learning more about roles and responsibilities. In the meantime if you are interested in a position please reach out to board@pbespta.groups.io thank you! The roles needed to be filled are:
- President
- Executive Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Vice President of Membership
- Vice President of Communications
- Vice President of Equity
- NAACP Representative
- Advocacy Representatives (MCCPTA Delegates)
- Webmaster

We want to thank you in person for your awesome work so far this year.
Please join us Tues. April 29, 7 – 8:30 pm for a Spring Panther Volunteer meet-up at Takoma Bev Co.
Look for us outside at a table if the weather is nice. Come drop by any time between 7:00 - 8:30, so we can say thanks, and so you can offer your ideas on future opportunities. (The PTA can’t buy drinks but we welcome you to grab one and sit and chat with our current PTA Board.) RSVP to serowe@gmail.com and pbes.pta@gmail.com appreciated (but not required).
Volunteers Needed: Help Organizing TPES/PBES Soccer Game
The TPES/PBES parent/teacher soccer game is coming up on Friday, May 9! More details will be shared soon for those interested in playing in the game. If you are able to help in the planning process to ensure that this event is able to happen, please reach out to Sara Lewis (serowe@gmail.com). We have several volunteers helping to plan the event, but could use one or two more who have time in the next 2+ weeks to ensure the event moves forward. Thank you!
