Needed: Volunteers for GeoBowl Competition

The GeoBowl Competition day(s) is just one week away! The kids have been working hard in their teams to prepare and the adults have been working hard to help them get ready to compete.

We still need some volunteers to help us execute the competition itself. This is a lot of fun and a giant bang for your buck in terms of volunteering - it's just an hour of your day and you get to facilitate a sweet, low stakes competition for the kids. Please consider helping out (this is the final GeoBowl volunteer ask!)

If you'd like to sign up for the GeoBowl competition day please use the SignUp Genius Link HERE

(A brief overview of the jobs you can sign up for on competition day in included in the SignUp Genius)

Takoma Park Youth Sports Scholarships

Need help with summer camps or interested in donating? The second year of the Takoma Park Youth Sports Scholarship fundraiser was a resounding success resulting in $8,035 raised and applied towards 58 weeks of camp. Our services include fundraising, identifying appropriate camps, assisting with camp enrollment and negotiating group discounts and scholarships with camps.  In 2023, the fundraiser paid an average of $128 per week of camp.

For 2024, we are reinvigorating our request for donations. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today, enabled by our fiscal steward, the Takoma Park Presbyterian church (TPPC). All donations go directly to TPPC via gofundme and they manage the distribution of funds. 100% of received donations are applied to camps.
