There is Still Time to Contribute to the Panther Appeal
A reminder from the PBES PTA that we are entering the final days of our annual fundraiser, the Panther Appeal. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated, helping the PTA to continue to fund programs such as STEAM Night, literacy support, staff and teacher appreciation, the Garden Club, the Rainbow Club, Cultural Heritage Night, lifeguards for P.E. swim lessons, equity programming and more. We count on your support to make these programs possible, and still have a long way to go to meet our goal. We are hoping for a big push in this final week!

Needed: Winterfest Volunteers
We need volunteers for the following items and staffing help:
- Donations for a bake sale. Please label items and indicate allergy information. Baked goods can be donated directly at the event, which begins at 2 pm on 12/7, or dropped off the day before at 6506 Kansas Ln, Takoma Park, MD 20912.
- Donations for an arts and crafts table at the event. We will be doing snowflake and ornament making, so need paper, glitter, paint, markers, etc. Donations can be dropped off on the porch at 6506 Kansas Ln, Takoma Park, MD 20912 anytime before the event.
- Two people to help staff the arts and crafts table during the event, from 2-5.

Needed: Black History Night Volunteers
Black History Night will be held in February (date TBD still) and we are looking for 2-3 additional volunteers to help plan and coordinate the event. Please reach out to Sara Lewis (serowe@gmail.com) if you are able to help make this event happen.
Needed: Target Gift Cards
The school has exhausted its supply of Target gif cards, which are used to cover various student needs, especially during this time of year. If you are willing and able to purchase any $20 gift cards to donate to the school, please drop them off at the front desk and they will be gratefully received.
